The curriculum at Northeast Christian Academy is designed to prepare students to be lifelong learners who are continuously growing spiritually, intellectually and socially. A Christian scholar should be capable of discerning what is good, true and beautiful; so in addition to knowledge, the curriculum should cause the student to grow in wisdom. The curriculum at Northeast Christian Academy challenges students academically and builds godly character and wisdom.
NCA is adopting a classical approach to curriculum development. Our teachers author curriculum guides which are updated annually to reflect best practices and to include the best resources we have available.
All courses at NCA are based on curriculum guides that may be viewed on this website. These curriculum guides are written from a biblical framework and are updated yearly. Study skills instruction is included in all grade levels and especially emphasized in the fifth and sixth grade year.
Field trips, mission trips, and service projects are part of the curriculum. Textbooks for courses may or may not be from Christian publishers; when a secular book is used, biblical integration is done throughout the planning and instruction of the course.
